Lucky and Ashley met in LA. Wendy Diamond wrote this on her blog:
"Lucky and I had to rough it this week in sunny California — and by "rough it" I mean "ruff, ruff, ruff it" with barks of joy! From a busy beach to a hopping hotel, Lucksters got the five star treatment, while I got to see my own set of stars, including High School Musical's Ashley Tisdale.
Lucky and I were thrilled to hear that Ashley has some pint-sized dogs, little maltipoos named Maui and Blondie, but I think Lucky was really jealous when she discovered that Maui herself has a staring role in High School Musical 3. "She had this little scene with Manly, which is [High School Musical director] Kenny Ortega's yorkie," said Ashley. "So, I think it's going to be really cute. I can't give too much away. Hopefully it doesn't get cut!"
To ward off the jealous issues, Lucky allowed herself to feel like a star at the Huntington Dog Beach, a California dogspot that's literally off-the-hook — or off the leash rather! The minute Lucky stepped onto the sand she let out a sigh of relief… off-leash!
The free, not-for-profit, almost mile-long stretch of sunny California coast is an oasis for doggies (and their two-legged friends), who can run through the water, sand joyfully leash-free and surf if they wish. Lucky spent all Sunday gossiping in the surf. At the sandbar, Lucky heard from a Japanese Chin that there's going to be a High School Musical 4, sans Ashley and the original cast! I quickly noticed Lucky walking around the beach rather daintily after she heard the news. Though Lucky, denies it, I think she was trying to catch the eye of a casting director, and I'm pretty sure she wants to land a part in High School Musical 4."
